We love the 4 day school week here and the small town feel. I wish I could change how graduation is set up. It needs to be further out so it doesn't run into the track seasons districts, sectionals, and state. If you gave graduation on Friday nights it's hard for family from out of town to he there. You can't do it on Saturday or the graduates are forced to not participate in track sectionals or whatever is that Saturday and then Sunday you run into Mother's day. I know the mom's of the graduate probably don't mind that for Mother's day but it takes away from people who may want to attend.

I love the teachers and the sports programs, but that's about it. There is no challenge in this school and that makes it hard for people to have to study. In my opinion my 7th grade year (at a different school) was harder then all my years here. All the kids sit on their phones and if we were to actually enforce the no phone rule people would be doing better in school. I am not getting prepared for college as of yet because I have no study skills because I do not have to study and I have no reason to. I feel like the safety at the school needs to be fixed also, I understand money isn't the easiest thing when I comes to a small town school but we built a football stadium before a hallway connecting the middle and high school.

I love this school for one reason, and that is the students within it. The kids are what makes Plattsburg High school a truly amazing atmosphere. While often times the parents and teachers may seem uninvolved, the kids all care deeply about one another and have such unique ambitions. I do not think that there are many other schools that have such an amazing student body as Plattsburg High.

I was a student at this school my whole life. I have seen many teachers, principals and superintendents. Things were always about sports to every faculty member. If you were not in sports, you didn't deserve being praised or encouraged. Things were looking up when I graduated and I had hopes for Pla...

Terrible leadership. There is no follow through and they pick and choose who they discipline and who they don't. I feel my children will not be prepared for college. Most teachers teach 15 minutes and then kids are on their phones 45 minutes. Kids run the show here.

My daughter graduated from Plattsburg high school with 27 college credits. The school partners well with local colleges to make these available and affordable. The textbooks for the college courses were even free.

My family moved to Plattsburg from Overland Park KS (Shawnee Mission) almost 3 years ago. I have 2 in elementary and 1 in middle school. I have liked the administrators and teachers and so have my children. There is some teacher turnover as small town schools close to the city seem to be a jumping o...
