Great balance between academics and social life. People are very friendly, and very welcoming. Students adapt to new environment very quickly.

I like the school It's pretty good. This is my first year as a sophmore and coming in everyone was very accepting and nice. I would say this school has a great culture and community. It's very pretty too and the teachers are nice and formative. The workload isn't as pressure as the other schools.

Very unforgiving culture if your teen steps out of line even unintentionally in the realm of anything that even hints of racism. It is an unkind and judgemental environmnet that can and will destroy a child's life before their life has even begun. The child and the family will be canceled by the Pomfret community and no one will speak up to defend for fear of blow back on them as well. Teens do dumb things, it is part of being a teen. It seems Pomfret has no tolerance for teens making mistakes.

My experience at Pomfret was extraordinary. The campus is gorgeous, the teachers care and push students, and the entire school is super engaged. One of the top boarding schools in the Northeast.

Pomfret is a competetive school where thew teachers expect a lot, but the students achieve a lot.

You get the impression at Pomfret (and my son confirms this), that everyone knows each other and that the studen...
