The issue of bullying is addressed if there is a problem brought forth. The Youth Officer is very accessible and available to listen to concerns. The school feels safe and the parents are alerted about any issues that arise during the day.

I never felt threatened at any time during my time at this school. The security guards are always within sight, and there are very strict rules on when and who can enter the school. All visitors must first check in with a guard on the way into the school, then must buzz into the front door and then must sign in at the office. All doors are always locked except for in the morning when the students arrived. I always felt very safe.

Once considered one of the best HS in CT, Pomperaug has been headed downhill for several years now. I had a great experience at Pomperaug Elementary School from 2002 to 2008. It was a positive atmosphere with great teachers, students and classes.
