I went to Northern from 2019 to 2023. I participated in basketball during my freshman year and also tried out for soccer and even though I made the team I unfortunately wasn't able to participate because of Covid. Overall my sports experience was great I loved going to practice every day and interacting with my teammates. I took an AP class in every core subject and I loved every class. The teachers were amazing and were always there to help if you didn't understand the material. There were always new clubs being created so everyone had something that they could join. I would like to see more college readiness programs especially for first generation students because I felt like I had no help or guidance when applying for college.

The best part of Port Huron Northern is the teachers and staff, everyone truly cares about you and wants you to succeed and do better. Their attitudes make it easy to talk to them if you need anything and excite me to go to school and learn. Not only are the teachers amazing but so are the lunch ladies, hall monitors, and principals they all make Northern a better place and it wouldn't be the same without them. The worst parts would be some of the food is a bit gross but only a tiny amount and the way the hallways can be, it tends to be clustered having a lot of people trying to get from place to place.

Not supportive what so ever. Worst experience in my life. I made a song about this school how bullies get away with everything and teachers are there to only count the pay and not to protect the kids and do not care. I would never allow my kids to ever attend this school. I do not know how I even ma...

There are lots of opportunities to take classes that fit student needs. The local community college is a resource, the RESA offers courses, there are advanced placement options, and there are standard classes. Staff is responsive.

The administration is good and responsive. There are many motivated teachers that work hard to provide unique opportunities for kids. The sports are fine, the arts are very good, the college acceptance and scholarship record is very good. I think it's little unfair to have the overall rating of this...

My dealings with this school have all been respectful and efficient. The teachers have done a great job, and my son has had a very positive experience. Very happy with the environment the school provides, and grateful to the staff members I have encountered. I would recommend this school to any pare...
