My overall experience at Portage Central is fair. It is not bad, and I do enjoy going to Portage Central.

Division 1 sports, IB diploma and AP courses are the best parts. The worst parts would be the IB diploma classes are not taught all the way through in time for the exam in some courses making it hard to guarantee preparedness and college credit.

Over the course of my four years at Portage Central High School I have been able to have many valuable opportunities. I have also enjoyed my experiences with sports and clubs.

I graduated in 2005 unless you are upper or middle class and have no need of special education this school will be great for you well as long as your kid doesn't have issues with socializing. Anything not 'normal' is at best completely ignored here stay away at all costs.

I graduated from the original Portage Central in 1962. In all the years since that there has been a PC, it has been excellent. The teachers were great then and great now. I taught over 30 years so can recognize good from bad.

MY school isn't the best, there are druggies and pot heads in in, freely talking about it and when teachers here, the don't do ANYTHING. So besides that and the fights and bullying that you just have to put up with a any high school, my school does have good musical side to it. If your kids a music...
