GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a very close community. Every first year student/ teacher says that this is a great place to be and that it's a very welcoming and friendly place.

I was new at PMHS this year and everyone was super friendly! I genuinely love it here and i'm happy to be able to say I get to graduate from such an amazing school.

My experience at Portal has been interesting, but definitely good overall. While being a small, rural school does make it more difficult to pursue STEM, the teachers are able to connect with students and help them more individually. Our current administration also provides excellent support for the faculty and staff.

The staff there, has their picks. If you dont have money or well known in the town you would get pushed under the rug and not to mention the bullying there. If you were not a well known student you didnt get help. Hopefully it has changed but what I hear it hasn't. I dropped out in my 11th grade yea...
