I have not been at Portland St. Patrick's High School for very long. I transferred late into my high school career, not expecting to know many people. Everyone was very positive, we all got along great, and the teachers were all very passionate about what they did. They care about each student, as well as their success in life. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested.

Going to this school has been a beautiful experience for me. Since attending as long as I have I have learned a couple of things. St. Patrick school is great to me because of the small amount of students in each class. This allows the students be better be able to understand the material trying to be taught. The teachers are always willing to help us if we do not comprehend what is trying to be taught to us. I do think that the curriculum should be improved so that the students learn more about important topics that will be needed later in life.

I was homeschooled my whole life so when i was told i would be going to Catholic School i was nervous. When i arrived at school all the teachers and students were welcoming and greeted me. The teachers are good at what they do and friendly as are the students. With a small school you get a lot of one on one with the teachers as well. If i could change anything it would be the phone policy. You cannot use your phone at all even during lunch. I think as long as the teacher isnt teaching it shouldnt matter

This is a family oriented school that is rich in morals and values based on Christian beliefs. The classrooms are small, allowing for each child quality time with the teacher. Check out their academic ratings compared to the local public school.

The low scores (i.e. only 30% of 11th graders are proficient in math) are rather concerning. If they claim to have a 100% graduation rate, with scores such as that...it makes me leary.

Portland is one of the few communities in the state that can offer your family a school with Catholic education from daycare all the way through graduation. There isn't a better community to live in or school to entrust the care and teaching of your children. Just look at the school website and you'...
