This school is amazing. It's a small public charter school that excels in teaching kids to read, write and do math all before leaving kindergarten. Because it is a charter they do not receive the same funding as public school. The teachers love and do everything they can to give each student the tools they need to succeed in getting their education. The staff, parents and students work hard and help fund and provide for this schools success.

We have re-enrolled our son and daughter into Rockwood Preparatory Academy after a terrible year spent prior at David Douglas Arthur Academy, and have noticed that our kids seem infinitely happier with their education experience.

Our kids have attended David Douglas Arthur Academy for 9 years now, so far two have gone all the way from K-5 here. Our oldest went to another David Douglas elementary school, and our experience here has been night and day. It’s like a family here. They work so hard to catch kids up in small groups...
