Overall i loved it. i felt a strong sense of community and support throughout my 4 years of attending. their limited arts programs have flourished well beyond reasonable expectation, given their extremely limited support. i would have liked to feel supported by those outside the school, to have felt lifted up by the people who are supposed to protect students rather than scolded and punished and looked down upon for things that did not warrant that. jefferson has thrived in the worst conditions and will continue to thrive regardless of the efforts of a white supremacist system.

Its a really good school to be honest, its just that my life and my time there at this school didn't go to plan and didn't really help me, and the movies lied to me, to be honest. I loved the teachers there and they have always helped me no matter what was happening.

Jefferson High School has a very strong sense of community. If I ever felt like I needed help with something, I knew that there would be someone (a teacher, a member of the faculty, or a fellow student) who could help me.

My son has done well at this school with great support from teachers and staff. He benefited from the challenging middle college curriculum and after-school programs and is now going to attend a 4 year college as a well prepared graduate.

There are so many opportunities at Jeff, for instance SEI, PCC, camps, bio tech program, sports, dance. There is also a strong sense of community in the student body. The students feel empowered to be politically active in the city.

There are many things that my son and I love about Jeff, however, the broken mentality of teachers, staff, parents, and students there will make it very difficult for the school and community to make any real progress away from the stereotypical persona. Unfortunately, most of the teachers and staff...
