I am a current junior at RHS who transferred in for the last trimester of my sophomore year. My only regret is not being able to attend for my entire high school experience. The teachers are amazing; they truly care about students and their personal troubles. The students are engaged, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. I am beyond proud to be a Maverick.

Riverdale High School is a small college prep high school. While it was academically challenging, and I constantly felt challenged, I am so very grateful to all of the amazing teachers there.

All of the teachers are very knowledgeable. They mostly explain topics well, but some just talk at you without solidifying the information (at least for some people). A couple teachers are not liked by the majority of the students, and unfortunately since it's a small school it's hard to avoid them. Overall, though, the teachers are engaging, smart and convey information well.

After putting 2 kids through Riverdale High, I only have great things to say. TLDR - send your kids here if you can get in. Here's the longer story...My 2 kids are very different academically and temperamentally. One is great at everything academic, the other (clinically) math & science challenged....
