The Potter’s House High School is a private Christian school committed to four principles: Christ-centered services, community-focused goals, academic excellence and equipping students with key values. These values include a commitment to service, justice and resilience. The high school has been in operation since 1998, while the elementary school was founded in 1981.
Academically, The Potter’s House High School follows the Michigan Merit Curriculum. The program is accredited by Cognia and offers an education that prepares students for college and future careers. More than 95% of graduates enroll in colleges throughout the Grand Rapids-Wyoming area, the state and the nation.
Students at The Potter’s House have many opportunities to pursue STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), such as the STEM Club and robotics team. Creative writing, theatre, visual arts, music and dance are just a few of the artistic opportunities available. Students can also participate in fall, winter and spring athletics. The Potter’s House Pumas participate in a wide range of sports, including football, volleyball, basketball and baseball.
The Wyoming Park high school campus is connected to an elementary and middle school, located in the Roosevelt Park neighborhood of Grand Rapids. The high school campus is located on 28th Street on the south end of Wyoming Park.
