Difficult homework load, minor unfair treatment of students, and generally stressful community; however the quality of learning, the excellence of most teachers, and the overall enjoyment of all of the experiences wsa has brought me, have all made my high school career enjoyable and valuable

The teachers at WSA are phenomenal. They will drop anything to sit down and help a student. However, the school itself cannot decide on its culture: arts-based or rigorous, internationally-minded or for struggling domestic students. The lack of one true culture in such a small school makes going to WSA seem like going to a job versus the community that the school wants us to think it is.

There are a lot of different extracurricular activity. Ranging from student council, to literary journal and yearbook, to a gay straight alliance. Almost all are entirely student run.
