Great school with welcoming teachers and students. This school has been a wonderful place for our high functioning Aspberger NOS child. Our child is thriving here academically and socially. My son has been attending the Lewis School for the past 6 years. He transferred in from public school. He was told that he was too smart to give him an IEP and yet needed aid during his english and writing classes. The public school refused to help him and I saw my son lose confidence in himself. The Lewis School has a tight knit community with an outstanding faculty. Children with dyslexia learn how to learn, and repair the fundamental mechanics of language. Students with IEPs receive additional support, as my children did, but this support only helps children compensate for their learning...
