Significant improvements needed. While there are some more experienced staff members, overall the staff is young and inexperienced. Lower standards for students. If a student is capable of an A they are willing to accept a C. Educating to get the best of a student is not a priority. Barely passing is as seen as success. Unwilling to invest in success of the child.

You might want to reconsider if you work for the UN or a foreign Embassy, want to relocate to Roosevelt Island and enroll your children at this school. Safety is an issue in this school. Assaults have happen in the Middle school and the school has always a way out to deal effectively to keep the environment free of violence. I would not recommend this Middle school all this school.

My kids love their school. Their academic foundation is solid, their love of learning and curiosity is nurtured.
