I was in nearly every club and most sports in Southern High School. I was a very active member and just believe that Southern is doing average, at best. And maybe getting worse in the year that I have been gone. Our diversity levels are low because of the area that we live in.

I love going to Southern High School. The education is spectacular. The only thing that I would change is the lunch program, and the bullying/ drama issues. It would also be nice if more classes were added, or if we provided a vocational program for other schools.

I recently graduated from this school in the spring of 2016. I think this school does the best that it can with the resources that it has. Being in a rural community in Appalachia, it does not get all the funding I think it deserves. The faculty are really concerned with your academic success for the most part. The students are really close knit because of the small class sizes, and we have really good school spirit.
