Red Hill Montessori has been educating preschool through fifth grade students for over 20 years in Farmington Hills. Promoting a strong academic program, Red Hill Montessori prepares students to attend top schools and colleges. Students leave scholastically 4 years ahead of most conventionally educated children.
Red Hill Montessori's curriculum is designed to help students reach their "maximum potential" while developing a core value system of "honesty, self-esteem, and respect."
Kindergartners at Red Hill Montessori refine their motor and coordination skills while learning to read, solve simple addition and subtraction problems and develop confidence.
In first and second grades students are introduced to fractions and geometry and explore time and money with word problems. Students practice cursive writing and grammar on a daily basis and read books like Amelia Bedelia, the Horrible Harry series and Nate the Great. Participating in science fairs and writing poetry, students prepare for more independent thinking.
In upper elementary years, children work on a new STEM-based project every month, participating in math group lessons and engaging in weekly explorations of Spanish, theater, cooking and art in between their core curriculum.

Ms Leila Charlesworth School has declined in the 7 years we have attended she has a high teacher turn over rate and her unprofessional behavior is just too much to handle for the tuition the curriculum is no longer worth it !

My daughter attended RHMA; Pre-K, Jr PK, Sr PK, K and 1st grades. We loved the family feeling, small classrooms and academics. The director and staff know the students and families personally. It's a gem of a school in Metro-Detroit. I feel my daughter received a great foundation for education at what I called "Baby Harvard".

This is the worst school I have ever experienced. From the leadership down to the teachers - no one knows what they are doing. While there are standardized montessori certificates, this school chooses not to adopt any set of formal governing criteria, and the owner/principal does whatever she wants....
