Red Hook high school was a good experience, I did the full IB diploma so I felt very ready for college. I participated in varsity volleyball, student council, BLT and other things. I had a very good experience at Red Hook and I loved being in high school.

overall, it is in a predominantly white area, so there is very little diversity. that being said, I feel as though the new administration is actively trying to make people feel included from all walks of life. the academics is good, as there is an IB and AP program, coordinated by very capable people.

I wish the school wasn't so sports-oriented. There are so many people here that do great music, arts, and volunteer work that don't get recognized. What's great about the school is that the faculty care about students doing well and it is very beneficial and rewarding to have that environment.

Red Hook is known for high test scores and success of MOST students. Even students who received straight A's do not necessarily 'succeed'. I find it quite ironic that the topic of paying taxes is barely if at all taught, when a lot of people that attend Red Hook High School will most likely continue...

Red Hook High School is filled with great teachers who genuinely care about their students. In response to the previous post, there is a rather large art and music program. The music program is great, and it always seems to bring in awards and honors for the abilities of the students involved. In re...

A lot of parents have posted reviews having to do with sports, but I would like to know more about the school culture, whether/how the arts are valued/incorporated into the curriculum, if there is a lot of teaching to the test/pressure related to test scores, and how the kids treat each other/if the...
