Overlake prepared me to succeed at my HYPSM college- I went there for 8 years, and in academic rigor, my high school classes at Overlake were just as rigorous as freshman weed-out classes at my notoriously hard college. Further, Overlake emphasizes independence and self-drive immensely, supporting me both in school-sponsored activities and providing me with faculty willing to invest in me outside of school. I owe who I am today to them.

Ive been at the overlake school for three years now, and my sister has been here for 5 years. I feel that the school is very inclusive and diverse as well as being competitive in sports and activities like speech & debate, quiz bowl etc.

I came here in freshmen year from public school and have really developed as a person. Great group of students who are driven and intelligent, teachers are always happy to chat and help. The level of rigor is certainly high and it can get pretty competitive which actually motivates me but I know can disrupt learning for others.

This is a great school. The academics are top notch and someone coming from a public school will have to work extra hard to keep up. However, the teachers are always there to help you and support you. They offer after school hours which is great way to get the help your child needs. The sports and c...

Small classes. Everyone knows everyone. Academic is a focus area but then so are other activities. A bit of let down is folks with excessive money can get into this school and bring the overall quality a bit down. Though it is these Richie Rich's funds that help some of the lesser affordable familie...

I think it is a big rip off. Bellevue school distrcit and surrounding areas on the eastside have fabulous schools. It is about status. They do not get to know the other kids in their neighborhood like all the others. They also have an attitude like they are better than kids that go to public school.
