There is hardly any college prep. The guidance counselor was so unhelpful. She sat down with us one time and gave zero helpful advice. Racism is everywhere, bullying is normal, and if you cannot fit into their mold, you will be ridiculed. The staff do nothing about this in fact they are part of the problem, there are almost no safety measures in place. As an alumni I would never send my child to this school.

Thomas Sumter has a very warm environment. The teachers are very good at making learning engaging and long-lasting. The facilities are in need of some TLC, but still working. If having many club and activities is on your list, Thomas Sumter may not be your best bet.

Students were welcoming at the beginning of the year. The teachers are always there for help. Very easy to find help.

Absolutely awful. Went here a few years back and it felt like they failed me on purpose because I would not through money at the school and did not fit the mold. Love the intimate Christian environment my child is experiencing. I find the school covert challenging academically and in extra-curricular activities. Love the small class size and individual attention the kids get. This school is the best possible fit for our preschooler. We are a military family and are sad to PCS and leave Thomas Sumter in 2 years. It’s been the highlight of our time here in Sumter.
