I have loved my time at the Doane Stuart School and look forward to my senior year next year. Doane is incredibly supportive of my academic, athletic, and creative endeavors. Doane supports each individual student, as well as the student body as a whole, by creating a safe and welcoming environment.

admin sucks. they don't care about the students or even the teachers. just about their money. our head of school went off to brazil instead of dealing with our schools issues. we aren't financially stable and we kicked out the k-4th grade yet they haven't bothered to update the website. we changed our name apparently and we don't have great heat in the winter so i am shivering in my 3 layers everyday. my parents spend 20k for this. yes. 20k. for this.

It has been a bumpy road, we almost went bankrupt and I have seen 5 different heads of school. I used to think of my school as a safe haven for people who were bullied, which I don't necessarily agree with anymore as there is a huge bullying problem now. It was difficult to end our lower school and combine with two other schools in the same building, but the teachers have been the most supportive through out the process. Even when the people in charge do not have our backs, the teachers do. I hope that we keep out Doane Stuart spirit and bring back the old traditions. we need to be one community, not three separate schools. However with its challenges I have found opportunities. I have been able to collaborate on 4 murals, to take graduate school and college level classes, and to meet winners of the albany prize. the academics are unmatched, and so is the college prep. I feel so ready to go to college, and I have my teachers to thank for that, especially my middle school ones

Despite a few dedicated teachers, my experience at Doane Stuart was almost entirely negative. I did not feel safe or supported at school and was bullied my entire time there. Rather than help solve the problem, administration suggested I do all schoolwork from home without any guidance (at full tuit...

I could not be happier sending my 9th grade son to Doane Stuart. He came in last year transferring from another College Prep school in the area. I cannot thank you enough for all of the positive differences you have made for my son. He enjoys going to school!! My son is so much more outgoing and con...

My eldest daughter graduated from Doane and made a seamless transition to Berklee School of Music. She was more than prepared academically and socially. My middle daughter transitioned from male to female during her senior year at Doane. She wasn't just tolerated she was celebrated by all. My younge...

I am fortunate enough to have all three of my children enrolled in this fabulous school. We never considered private school, as we purposely moved to a "good" district and were happy enough with their experience -- until COVID. We initially decided to enroll only the two younger children, recognizin...
