Canyon Creek Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The campus is located in northwest Richardson, off Copper Ridge Drive. Students and parents love this elementary school for many reasons.
Canyon Creek Elementary School is a small neighborhood school with just two classes per grade. With smaller classes, teachers are able to create meaningful relationships with their students. Students enjoy the supportive and engaging environment at Canyon Creek Elementary.
The school fosters academic achievement amongst students as well as emotional intelligence and social skills. The students have the ability to participate in school sponsored programs and learn in Enrichment Clusters throughout the school year. The Enrichment Clusters are designed to pique students learning interests and develop creative thinking skills.
Prekindergarten students learn social skills and work on kindergarten readiness throughout the year. Kindergarten through sixth grade students learn core subjects and take fine arts classes. There are also health and physical education students to teach students about the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.
The school’s mascot is the Canyon Creek Cougars, and the school colors are royal blue and white. Following elementary school, students will continue their education at one of the junior high schools in the Pearce Learning Community feeder pattern.
