Dartmouth Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The neighborhood school serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grades. The campus opened for the first time in 1974. Dartmouth Elementary is located off Dartmouth Lane in the Duck Creek neighborhood in Richardson. Students love attending school at Dartmouth Elementary because of the engaging and supportive environment created by teachers and parents.
The school has many events for students and parents throughout the school year. Students and parents love the annual book fair and Literacy Night. There are also fundraising events scheduled throughout the community. The Parent Teacher Association also sponsors many events to keep parents and students engaged in the learning community at Dartmouth Elementary.
There are support programs and advanced academics available to the students at Dartmouth Elementary. The school has an Early Childhood Special Education program, Special Education program and dyslexia classes for students who qualify. There is also a Gifted program available for advanced students.
The school mascot is the Ducks, and the colors are green and yellow. After elementary school, students follow the Berkner Learning Community feeder pattern. Most students will attend either Apollo Junior High School or Liberty Junior High School. Students can also apply to attend one of the district’s magnet schools or academies.

Amazing teachers only wanting the best for their students. I was lucky enough to go here and have amazing teachers who even though I wasn't the best student they educated me and made sure each student understood the work. One concerning thing though it that when I went there I didn't get any history lessons and when I went to Middle school it was almost a culture shock since others knew it all so well.

Two granddaughters we raised attended Dartmouth and both received the extra assistance they needed to be successful. Great leadership and teachers. Wonderful PTA and good parental participation. Remodeled school, Outdoor Learning Center, and neighborhood support.

We have had a great experience at Dartmouth! When our beloved Principal left I was sad and worried for the community! However, Mrs. Marx is incredible. She is such a wonderful addition to an already amazing community and great teachers!
