GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think it's a nice school. It has so many opportunities for students and pathways to choose from. So many areas for help and to get the success we want and need.

My high school is very small. They don't have a lot of opportunities to visit colleges. I would like to see more to give students more options before submitting applications. They could also improve in options for sports and academic clubs. The best club for me was DECA.

I have been attending Roanoke Rapids High School since 2020. I have only ever had positive experiences at Roanoke Rapids High School. This school is enjoyable because of the staff and students. Everyone is genuinely kind and passionate about your future. Their goal is to prepare you and teach you everything you need to know for life beyond high school. There is nothing I would like to see change as it is a great school to attend.

The school personnel involved in special education are pathetic. This local education agency follows neither state nor federal edication law and they appear to be ignorant of the laws related to edication. Also, some of the aides are unfriendly and the school appeats to be hiding previous indiscreti...

I believe that the administration and staff at Roanoke Rapids High School are top notch and work hard. In most of the parent meetings, I see the same small percentage of parents. It seems that those who are active, do a lot. Unfortunately, it isn't a large percentage of parents who are involved and...

This is a great school to go to. There is so many clubs, activities, and sports you can get involved in. The principals are always involved with the students and try to push them to do the best they can. I will admit SOME of the teachers are pretty crappy, but most of them get involved with the stud...
