GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Best part of OHS is by far some of the teachers. I had many amazing teachers and three absolutely phenomenal ones. Worst part are the political ideologies being pushed on kids and that is something I would like to see change.

Oceanside High School has been pretty good to me throughout my 4 years here, but I know that it has been rough to others. There are quite a few drug/alcohol/fighting problems around the building and many students get in trouble (but not really). My experience has been great, though, as I have been able to make friends and form close relationships with many teachers who have helped me along my path and encouraged me.

I like the staff, they are supportive and kind and willing to help students go the extra mile. I wish there had been more opportunities for challenges.
