GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The good part of being at Rockmart High is the teachers and staff working diligently to help their students succeed and become the best they can be. One of the bad things about being at rockmart high is that fact that some of the student are wasting the time of those who want to learn by being a distraction. And I wish I could see the classroom become more of a homier feel. The classroom being blank can make students feel constricted and closed in.

most of teacher care about you and want to help. Some are more into the sports, and they always seem to get more recognition than Academic in the school, not everyone can play ball...some are music and book smart; we should have the same praise ate the ball students.

My sophomore year was eventful, to say the least. A lot of people came out of their shells and definitely connect with each other. The staff are good people, and the student are alright, they can give rude looks, and usally exclude you if u don't fit in, i love the school, but the bullying policy doesn't work.

RUN RUN RUN! You do NOT want to come to Polk County and definitely not Rockmart. This county is all about who knows who and who is related to who. Only students with parents that are connected to the school or community receive awards and recognitions. Many teachers are not even certified.

This school has serious issues with the professionalism with the staff and the students unless you are Rockmart itself. If you were to choose an area to live and let your kids go to a good school, then avoid Rockmart and Polk County AT ALL COSTS.

I have to say that I am glad that my child transferred out of Rockmart High School. The staff are unprofessional to the point where they don't know how to control themselves more than the kids. I know that schools have their problems, but this place, well, they have their "tradition." If you're not...
