The best experiences are the various school events like pep rallies, red and blue, spirit weeks and homecoming. There are many friendly competitions, and it brings all members of the school closer together.

South Side High School is a great high school that provides their students with a wide range of classes, and opportunities such as the International Baccalaureate.

The school is very high performing and I'm grateful to go to school here. The teachers are actually very nice and understanding. The school gets a lot of in tax dollars so there is a lot of resources and opportunities here. The school is really cliquey. It is not a very welcoming environment unless you're a certain type of kid. Do not expect a classic high school experience here. Only a small percent of kids experience the "normal" things.

I am a current 11th with straight A's, going full IB diplomapeople do as people do, especially kidsThe kids who don't care are encouraged to care but they don't care; nothing can be donekids who care have opportunities within the IB structure and electives, and the club system is phenomenalno matter...

Speaking as a former student, SSHS prepared me well for college and beyond and I was surprised to only see 7/10. One issue I have with this review is the AP test participation and pass rate. South Side offers and emphasizes IB courses (the international equivalent of AP) and only a limited selection...
