Overall my experience at RHS has been amazing. Since Covid took away my freshman and part of my sophomore year I was not used to the high school and I was very nervous but on the first day I felt so welcomed all the teachers were very friendly and they always make sure we understand the work they give us. I definitely recommend Roosevelt high school as being one of the top choices of picking a public school because they have so much to offer and such a great community.

Roosevelt High School was an ok school for the most part growing up academically. However, over time there were drug problems, where students would be doing drugs in the bathroom. There were also harassment and bullying that affected students' mental health overall.

My school makes me feel like I'm in a movie sometimes. Living and going to school downtown, you are very connected to other students. You go out for dinner and see someone in your third hour walking down the street toward you. It's easy to feel a sense of community here. Sure, some teachers are a swing and a miss, but every school has that. Roosevelt High School has a lot of heart-- from our You Matter programs to our Block Out Cancer fundraisers, it's clear that a lot of people care. This is my favorite part about my school.

There is a family-like environment here more than any other school I have attended. The teachers encour...

I have had two children graduate from Roosevelt although I did not grow up here myself. I think the district has offered many opportunities for the kids to grow as individuals eventhough the budget was very tight. They are able to work wonders to still offer higher level (although not as many as we...
