Near the heart of downtown Roswell, Vickery Mill Elementary School provides kids from kindergarten through 5th grade an opportunity for public education and a low student-teacher ratio, resulting in above-average student progress. A part of the Roswell community since 2016, Vickery Mill is a vibrant school serving about 500 students. Inside the building, murals brighten the walls, creating a fun environment for learning that encourages students to live and learn to their full potential. Vickery Mill also offers after-school tutoring and mentoring programs.
Run by the STAR House Foundation, the after-school program offers coaches who meet with students for interactive homework time and work with kids in supportive reading sessions. The program also brings special guests to discuss their careers and lives, inspiring children's aspirations. Key focus areas are character development, health and wellness, academic support, and literacy and math intervention. Vickery Mill Elementary works daily to fulfill its mission statement: "Inspiring WISE learners to succeed."

Such a great elementary school with friendly front desk staff, the administration is very involved and communicates so well via classroom dojo, collaborative PTO, and all of the teachers are so nice and helpful. We have felt so welcomed here, and we have loved being welcomed into the VMES community!

We are going into our 3rd year at VME and have been pleased with our experience. Our son is ahead of grade level in all subjects and loves school! We have not had any issues with staff or teachers, but know first hand that when a concern is voiced it is heard and adjustments made when possible.
