I really love the environment, the teachers and the students, and all the various clubs we can join, some of which are very very successful. There are some bad decisions, however, regarding scheduling; not block scheduling, but next year there are two courses that are linked which in my opinion shouldn't be.

The school, while lacking in diversity, has given me all the tools I need to live a successful life: a stellar education, worthwhile extracurricular activities, and a sense of what I want to be in life and what I don't want to be. I want to be well rounded, a renaissance man, who lives humbly and compassionately. I don't necessarily need to be flashy and glitzy, just be me. Yes, a luxury car and a large house would be nice, but those are just bonuses that I believe will come along with loving one's life.

Some teachers fit the mold of a "great teacher," while others are lackluster. Several of them go above and beyond with use of technology in the class room, and attend to students' needs whenever possible. On the other hand, there are teachers who are more conservative and stay away from technology, and only make themselves available when they want to be.

Wonderful high school with a great teacher-student ratio, although generally lacking in cultural diversity. Students are prepared and expected to move on to undergraduate/ graduate studies.

While it gave me the opportunities I needed to get into a good college, I did not feel prepared for the cultural diversity of a mid-sized city. The predominantly white-Jewish body of students was, like any large homogenous group, subject to exclusion and prejudice. I witnessed and silently participa...
