The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

The class sizes are very small so there is a lot of close interaction with teachers. However, in my opinion, there is too much emphasis on sports and not enough on music and the arts.

I loved my experience at Pierson High School. It's a great small school with a feel of a private school . Lot's of individual attention. Fantastic teachers and a sense of community. There is something for everyone. I really enjoyed being involved in the theatre department. I did all of the school plays. The school also is very big on sports and community events. I appreciated the small class sizes, it provided for a lot of individual guidance for the students.
I had 3 children graduate fro Pierson. Most recently in June of this year.
