It was a decent high school experience but the classes and grade sizes were pretty small. Which limited the amount of socializing and branching out. Everyone knew everyone.

This school is very small, which can make for a safe feeling environment. everyone knows everyone and that's comforting. BUT if you do not play sports or have alum parents, you're not going to fit in. Sports are EVERYTHING here, especially basketball. The drama department died in 2020. There are some really quality teachers (Ms. Zaleski) and some really bad teachers, but the advantage of a small school is that administration knows who the bad teachers are and will replace them.

What I most loved about coming to Lake Michigan Catholic was how close every person was with each other. Before I came here I was recently at a public school and I didn't know every person compared to LMC. Where as I knew everyone and everyone knew me. They were are so welcoming as I first walked into the doors and still continue to be.
