Lafayette is a pretty good school all around. In all honesty though, I wish the school and district had better teachers that would actually want to teach the students and not just see it as a babysitting job. I also wish that there was more options for classes and better involvement throughout the district. I also wish that the schools were better at preparing for college because I feel like that most teachers are just doing their jobs... not pushing us to excel.

The thing I love about Lafayette is the wonderful students and staff that we possess. The students are mostly undivided and everyone talks to each other. The staff is always attentive and ready to ensure the students are getting the correct help if needed. We are all like a family to each other and everyone in the school is highly cared for. One thing I would like to see changed is the amount of college courses we offer. Some schools have more opportunity than ours. I feel that we have a great staff but what would make it even better is more college classes.

Lafayette is like a family, everyone is always there having your back even if you all don't get along sometimes. It has a family feel to the whole school and has the whole three years I have been here.

The Lafayette staff does the best it can do with such a diverse range of issues. Nearly 80% of the student body receives free or reduced lunch. This coupled with a poorly led district leaves students underprepared for high school. A majority of the problems that the three of my students faced were p...
