Bishop DuBourg, while a highlight of my life, did not help me get ready for college as much as I wanted them to. Although I saw the attempt, I was just not pushed hard enough and things relatively came easy.

Overall Bishop Dubourg is a fun school as far as making friends because really you can talk to anyone.

At Bishop DuBourg, I really liked the choices for classes, both required academics and those available for electives. The teachers are extremely supportive and always available to help with classwork that you are struggling with, along with if you just need someone to talk to about a problem that is not necessarily school related. What I don't like is how much the cafeteria charges for lunch. That may sound a bit silly. But for students whose best option is a good lunch, especially if they stay late after school for an extracurricular, it costs too much. A simple hamburger, fries and drink costs about $8.00, and that is the cheapest meal. For a week of student lunches, $40-50 is too much.

Bishop DuBourg prepares students academically, socially and spiritually to face challenges in the world. My son has friends of all economic classes, races learning abilities. His outstanding standardized test scores on the PSAT are greatly due to the fine teaching he has received.

I have had two daughters, nieces, nephews, siblings and friends all graduate from Bishop DuBourg High School. They offer students opportunities to learn on many levels, growth of both spirit and intelligence, team spirit and respect for self and others.
