GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience over all was okay. The teachers were very dedicated and showed that turkey cared. It's a welcomed environment. They had a lack of resources. The food and sanitation was poor

McKinley is a very unique educational environment. It is not a traditional high school, being as there is a middle school in the same building. The high school has a fairly small population, but that makes the experience more personal. They have an exceptional, award- winning fine arts department, and is well- known for the band program. Overall, McKinley is a tight- knit, well administrated school, and I am extremely fortunate to have attended.

Excellent. Teachers are well prepared and willing to work with students who are smart but need coaxing to draw out their full potential.

Both my kids are here. McKinley has been a very good school for them. It's not perfect but they do great things with the limitations of being in an under-resourced system. It is a safe school with minimal drama among smart, engaged kids.

We have sent our children here for both middle school and high school. We have high expectations when it comes to academics and McKinley is definitely challenging. Their core curriculum is sound and some of the less effective teachers have been weeded out since some of these posts were last written....
