GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Throughout my experience in Highland High School, I have had a consistent and good experiece. The best parts of my experience by far has been the teachers. A rating of 5 stars does not do this justice as many of the teachers are some of th ebest. Also, one of the worst parts by far is diversity. To be fair, there is quite a lot of sexual and gender diversity, but almost no racial diversity. Most of this is due to the fact that Utah is simply not a very diverse area. Otherwise, anything else I would like to see change is the emphasis on programs like public speaking. The speech and debate team does not get any funding, but is successful on both a local and national scale.

I think that Highland has been a fairly decent school that has given me the ability to gain basic understanding of a lot of the content that I may need for college and life.

I've been lucky to attend and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Through COVID I still felt that the school cared.

Went here as a teen, started in 2018, I had a learning disability and severe depression and anxiety. I set a 504 plan in place and it was hardly followed. Reinstated it a few times and tried to change it and still had push back from the teachers and staff. Ultimately dropped out and moved to online...

As an alumni and now parent, I love Highland. There is a sense of community and some of the faculty and administrators were students themselves when I was there in the 90s. My child has made friends with good kids who have an eye toward the future, though granted not every kid there appreciates what...
