The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think that Salt Lake Center for Science Education is a great school with a good community, but due to it being a small school there are less opportunities. But as a science school, there are a multitude of great science programs and classes that perfect for anyone who wants to go into a science field.

I definitely think this school is a great choice if you are interested in science since this school has a lot of hands-on labs and excursions that make you really passionate to learn. Another thing I like is that it is a really small school, so you get to know others better than in a larger, more common high school. One downside I see with this school is a lack of clubs and sports. Due to the relatively small size, there isn't the traditional sport and clubs you might expect.

Honestly it is a great school and although it isn't much for sports there are many other activities like biking and normal PE. I like that it is a pretty small school allowing the teachers to get to know us and help us more. I liked how we could always ask for help and that there was not a lot of fighting between people unlike many other schools. If anything were to change it would best be the students becoming better because the newer students are making it hard on the staff.
