Opened in 1953 and named for one of the first graduates of the district, Charles August Arnold Elementary School serves approximately 567 students. This campus participates in the district's Dual Language Program, designed to develop students' ability to perform proficiently in English and Spanish. In addition to this program, there is the English as a Second Language Program. This program is designed to help students who speak a language other than English or Spanish gain proficiency in their use of the English language. Arnold Elementary also offers a Head Start Program for your youngest scholars, emphasizing early development. Extracurricular activities include choir, recycling club, University Interscholastic League activities, Student Council and a media club. Engaging events are held throughout the year, including a pumpkin painting contest, a Dia de los Muertos celebration and Rodeo Day.

Arnold used to be one of the best schools in the whole district. The associate superintendent for this area keeps hiring her friends as administrators, and they are substandard at best. The current and immediately former principal of the school are on their way to running it in the ground.
