Robert L. Vale Middle School is a part of the Northside Independent School District. The school is named after the late political giant Robert L. Vale from San Antonio. The former state Senator and Representative was instrumental in bringing the University of Texas San Antonio and the University of Texas Health Science Center to their current prominence within the greater San Antonio community, the state of Texas, and the nation. In the 2020 – 2021 school year, Vale Middle School enrolled over 1,200 students.

I have never felt safe at this school. There wasn't a single day where I woke up, excited and ready to go to Vale. Administration's values and points of focus are completely inappropriate. They're more concerned with whether or not a girl's skirt is too short than the blood splatters in the restroom from the most recent fight. The only positive thing that I can think of about this school is that some of the teachers are okay. Worst three years of my life, and I'm incredibly happy I'm gone.

My student has to deal with racial bullying EVERY DAY at this school. The teachers are overwhelmed. I've heard so many negative things about this school from my neighbors. We decided to give it a try to see maybe it was just them, but now I regret it.

Vale Middle School has been a great school for my son. He has enjoyed it. The teachers are great and I love the fact that they update parent connections. With that tool I would have never known my child was missing homework. I absolutely love it.
