The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have enjoyed my time at the Young Women's Leadership Academy, mainly because of the opportunities to take challenging classes, engage intellectually in an inclusive environment, and have access to college and career opportunities. However, this school has its issues. Its dress code, administration, and treatment of non-STEM departments is disappointing.

YWLA is a very challenging school and the elementary school I went to before getting accepted to YWLA was not strict on anything especially homework. I struggled a lot in my 6th grade year but now I am confident where I am at and can look back and be proud that I stayed through the hardships.

I like all the teachers and most of their teaching methods and I like their involvement with students' academics. I think they need to lighten up on rules though. Students should be able to dye their hair un-natural hair colors if it's not distracting and the uniform policy shouldn't be so strict. The administration also kinda sucks, some people discriminate and are just overall really rude.
In my experience at this school, I would never place such pain and mental illness on anyone. My experience as a student that goes here, i would NOT recommend this school for anyone. This school is horrible and the staff members that work here are not supportive at all maybe only like 2-3 teachers are but the rest aren't. Two teachers had gotten fired from this school for "doing the wrong th...
