Elliott County High School is the only high school in the entire county, and for being the only one, the staff and faculty make do with what they are given. Due to the small class sizes, we are all very close and have a very tight-nit community. Even though we do not seem to have enough money for everything that we need, I respect the effort that most of our teachers put in to get us ready for life and filled with the knowledge we need.

It's home, I love my school and the people in it because of that. But I'm an academic student and this school has just gone under a staff change and is only now starting to make its curriculum more challenging for students like myself.

I experience a wide variety of things at ECHS. In the amount of time I have been in high school I have learned how to cook, sew, shade my drawings, abstract art, P.E., how to play Volleyball, shoot archery, and speak in a different language. My school offers so much to all students and teaches you many things about life, and how to be happy with who you are.
