Educating children from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, Marjorie G. Kinnan Elementary School is part of the Manatee County School System. The school was named in memory of a local teacher, guidance counselor and long-time school board member.
Students can expect to participate in extracurricular activities throughout the year, including a Fall Festival and Parade, an Olympics-style competition, a talent show and the Battle of the Books.
Each quarter, students who exemplify the school’s guiding principles of honesty, responsibility, respect, kindness and safety receive recognition with a COMET Award, named after the school’s mascot, the Comets.
While the school’s test scores fall below the state average, the faculty and staff have a reputation for being caring and attentive to all 650 of its students. In fact, the school’s mission is “All in Every Day for Every Student.”
In preparation for the school year, parents and guardians should note that, although Kinnan Elementary is a public school, students are required to wear uniforms. Kinnan Elementary is convenient located near major thoroughfares for easy drop-off and pick-up and has bus service for students who qualify. Students will need to be registered to ride prior to the beginning of the school year.

Any time we had concerns, the principle or vice-principle were readily available for meetings and the school seems to be a safe and healthy environment for our daughter to learn. We have had an excellent experience thus far and are pleased to have our daughter returning for 4th grade

A 10 my kid has excel more than other kids of his age in other states. I have no regrets in having my son elementary school life in Kinnan, I could not ask for a better place
