Adjacent to the Saguaro High School campus in the Scottsdale Unified School District is Pueblo Elementary School, which serves over 450 pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students in the McCormick Ranch neighborhood. A recipient of the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ School of Excellence award, Pueblo Elementary offers dual language immersion in Spanish, computer coding and robotics, accelerated math, gifted services, and an Enrichment Zone where children can thrive in extracurricular programs including soccer, basketball, art, chess, golf and LEGO engineering, for starters. Fourth and fifth graders can also take up an instrument in band, orchestra or guitar lessons. In addition to these programs, Pueblo participates in before- and after-school care programs.
As for overall school performance, students at Pueblo Elementary School produce higher test scores compared to the rest of the state, ranking No. 13 in reading out of nearly 1,000 ranked schools in Arizona. Pueblo also falls among the top elementary schools in Scottsdale and has a student-teacher ratio of 14-to-1, making it one of the most desirable elementary schools in the district.

This is our first (kindergarten) year at Pueblo elementary. It’s not what any parent expects or would be excited about (and we are a Spanish speaking family). We are so pleased with how my son started at this school. The school was very welcoming. The teachers are eager to meet and teach each student. We love how the Spanish immersion program is set up! Having 2 primary teachers is awesome. The school seems like a very united community.
