I liked the flexibility the counselor was able to provide with switching classes and helping me graduate a year early as well as giving me bits of advice. However, I would like for the school to be more involved in college searches and describing how students can go to college without struggling as much as incoming seniors do.

The teachers were really a hit or miss. You either had one that really cared about the students and education or one that didn't even seem to want to be there. The administrators claimed that the students were important and they cared very much about them. They didn't help me with anything whenever I asked.

Sedona red rock was an interesting school to go to. I enjoyed the sports but found that on the academic side they only focused on core classes. I have no opportunity to take a shop or mechanic class and had to try out for rock band, with no option for regular band. The lack of diversity among the classes kept me from engaging as much in academics. The swim and track team had excellent coaches who emphasized the student before athlete.

Our son goes to this school currently. if we had a better choice, we would take it. The teachers there are mostly transient types, checking out Sedona while living out of their van and moving on when they get bored or tired of putting up with the superintendent. Do not send your kids here unless you want them to do drugs. I'm a former student. Red rock has one of the most toxic student bodies in the country. One of the worst parental decisions you can make is sending your kids here.

This school lacks leadership in all major sports. Coaches are unqualified and unknowledgeable. If your child has any athletic promise it will be lost here. Many coaches have no idea of basic knowledge of the sport they are coaching. No wonder this school is ranked at the bottom in nearly every sport
