My experience at Sedona Red Rock High School was interesting because we live in such a small town. It was hard to find good teachers and I'd often see many teachers leaving because of how little they would get paid, which put a stunt in my own learning. There were some very good teachers though who stuck around for the students which made my high school experience so much better. Other than this the school was very beautiful and the students had motivation to keep learning.

They gave a wide variety of activities and clubs to participate in. They made sure that every student was welcomed and provided great resources and outreach.

The sports were amazing but academically they could have more diversity in classes. I never had the opportunity to take shop class or home ed. They mostly stuck with core areas of study. The only music classes were rock band or steel drums. I found the majority of the problem was funding. The large amount of tax revenue was either being mismanaged or misappropriated. The teachers that worked there truly enjoyed their jobs because they were some of the lowest paid teachers in the country. Even with the lack of funding the teachers made the best of it a nc supplied me with a great education.

Our son goes to this school currently. if we had a better choice, we would take it. The teachers there are mostly transient types, checking out Sedona while living out of their van and moving on when they get bored or tired of putting up with the superintendent. Some are outstanding though. We have...

Do not send your kids here unless you want them to do drugs. I'm a former student. Red rock has one of the most toxic student bodies in the country. One of the worst parental decisions you can make is sending your kids here.

This school lacks leadership in all major sports. Coaches are unqualified and unknowledgeable. If your child has any athletic promise it will be lost here. Many coaches have no idea of basic knowledge of the sport they are coaching. No wonder this school is ranked at the bottom in nearly every sport
