This school is horrendous and needs to be closed. The staff will tell you that they care about the students but it is just a glorified day care for special needs students. It's a wonder advocacy groups aren't clamoring for the place to be closed.

The school is a pit! Most of the teachers have been there forever and were probably put there because they don't know how to teach. The aides are horrible and are just there to cash a paycheck. Kids just sit in wheelchairs and watch videos all day.

There are parents at Lopez ESC that refuse to send their students to any other Exceptional Center in the district. The teachers and staff are a family, one that cares for another and their students. The staff works to overcome adversity-whether it be a loss of student, a loss of a staff's loved one...
