I grew up in Bay Shore. We moved to Selden when I started my Freshman year. It was a smooth transition. I felt welcomed by the staff and peers.

I didn't mind high school but going from that to college was a big change. A lot of the teachers don't prepare you for school and think that we would all be fine. that food at school was gross and not edible.

My experience at newfield high school is an average experience since I came to the school in my sophomore year but there are a little unique things about the school which make it above average. One of those things I'd like to say is the teacher I had for my junior year they were some of the best teachers I've ever had. Most importantly was my computer science teacher it was always fun learning with her. Another good thing about the school was the school shop they had some amazing cookies. On the contrary there was some downsides too I believe the school was a bit chaotic at some points which was alright. Nonetheless I can't wait to spend my last year there

Our experience with Newfield was wonderful! The teachers are caring and guidance was helpful and understanding as well. Their sports teams were successful and like no other. Would definitely recommend.

Don't send your children here. Countless times has my family been affected badly by this school. They have refused me a tutor. And have multiple times threatened cps on missed attendance. They take children out of classes for counseling instead of focusing on education. They do this for a paycheck a...
