GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

We are currently experiencing a shift with school board administration. Lots of allegations of corrupt board members; this is an issue that is being focused on. There have also been some safety concerns and bullying over the years however, I have noticed a nice improvement in that area over recent years. The music and arts programs are phenomenal!! The kids are very respectful and mature.

There is a Friendly staff and students. Most teachers are willing to help students with the work when needed. Students are friendly and willing to help new students around the school.

Shawano High School has many good qualities: location, size. I just wish the school district worked harder to keep its quality teachers. Too many leave for the surrounding larger districts for more money and better benefits.

My family moved from a big city to a small town. When our Kids transferred, all the teachers were kind, and the whole village and school were like a family. Rather, I felt safer because I could easily observe children's activities and education than a very large school. It's easy to access exercise...

This school does the bare minimum, with no programs or systems in place to help transgender students. If you're transgender you will be treated poorly by students, teachers, and staff of this school.

My children for the most part excelled, in everything but mathematics. The teachers are far to rigid in their methods with very poor people skills. Otherwise they were challenged and learning with very little problems.

My school is struggling to survive. Staff morale is literally negative. Pay is mediocre. Kids, like all kids, are great.
