There was one teacher I had in my junior year, she did not really teach us anything and made it very difficult to even pass her class, many students who had her will share the same idea I have of her. The drama department is quite lovely however, I have really enjoyed the plays and musicals we have put on.

Just from my experience i've had to keep to my own standards because our school standards are soo low, basically no college ready-ness unless i throw myself to learn on my own.

I strongly feel that the school is constantly trying to better itself. It is always making strides to become more accepting to a wide diversity of students and faculty. However, the environment is still not up to par. The teachers do not hold high expectations for their students, making those who work hard appear invisible. We have also had a history of criminal offenses in our teaching faculty. The school does a fine job of appearing as a top high school, but in my opinion, it is all a facade.

My daughter attended her first year at this school this year and we were pleased. I am sure it wasn't easy to teach during COVID-19 but I feel like my daughter thrived.

I graduated years ago but the experience I had at Shawnee high school was so much better than any other schools I attended. I went through college with straight A's and graduated law school. Only as an a...

I would discourage anyone who had ambition to attend a top university and enter a white collar professional career. I graduated from here, and felt unprepared when entering college. This is as far from college prep as you could imagine. In particular, the school was very weak with teaching writing s...
