For one of the only high schools around, it is okay. It has a lot of culture, especially with sports (football). There is a wide range of clubs and activities. The food is okay, but they tend to run out of certain things, and the line of pizza days goes out the door. There is a lot of good teachers, some great ones, and quite a bit of not so great ones, but the majority want to see you succeed. The campus is not the safest, but they have been trying to fix that. The students here are nice, kind of quiet, and everyone knows each other because of the small town. Overall, its a 3 out of 5 star school.

My overall experience at Shelton High School was great. I made great friendships stepped out my comfort zone, and I made good relationships with the teachers and they made me feel like I could tell them anything.

The high school was a totally different experience already having taught and retired after 36 years. The music and computer depts are exemplary, but the failure to prevent the in class use...

Went to this school from 2013-2017. While it is true that this school is low income, Shelton itself is based in a low income area. I don't believe that correlates with how well the staff is. They have a great attitude and have helped me through everything from personal issues to academic if I was ha...

I am a parent. I have two children that graduated from SHS and went on to do very well in college. I have two children, a senior and junior, who are currently enrolled there. It's not a perfect school. It's not a wealthy community, and many of the students come from tough backgrounds. But for the mo...
