I would like to have better teachers in the science department. I don't have a science class this year but last year, I had Chemistry and I didn't learn a thing due to poor teaching. I would also like it if the cheerleading team got a bit more appreciation. We have a small gym with rats and bats with only heating that we often have to share with the softball team. We are competitive and need a good space to practice and they give us the worst spot possible. Other than that, however, Sylvan Hills isn't bad. We always have lots of security and most of the teachers are pretty good at their jobs.

I have always liked my high school, now don't get me wrong the football team has always sucked but also I have always loved the engineering programs or my English teacher last year. The school is good at one thing, they can hire some pretty good teachers.

If you can't keep straight As, look else where. You either make it, or you don't. They would rather stick you in with the disabled kids (not downing disabled kids) than actually help you catch up with people.

My mom went here in the 1980s, but my experience has been horrible. If your parents are not part of a certain social circle in Sherwood, then a kid has no chance of being involved in anything or recognized for your achievements. It doesn't matter how talented you are or how much potential you have,...

Would look at any other option for your child's education, then this school. A complete overhaul of administration and teaching staff is needed, not the building like they say is needed for tac increase. Several schools in area do better with older buildings. But our children's education is failing...
