I have enjoyed attending Sikeston high school. There are many clubs and sports to get involved in, and the administration cares about the well being of their students.

Only thing I would change is the certain types of punishments for attendance. I say this because I have seen people get in trouble for missing school when they had actual reasons for missing.

It was an enjoyable experience even with covid hitting us. Still managed to enjoy highschool! The teachers I've had made it worth it they cared !

Sikeston is a smaller community, so the school system plays a large part. My children have not only received a good education at Sikeston Public Schools, they learned how to live in the "real" world with children from all walks of life. Can't say enough about the teachers and administrators at Sikeston Public Schools. They care about our kids and are easy to communicate with if there are questions. I have a daughter that graduated in 2012 and a son who will soon graduate SHS.

This school system is more worried about the "wealthy" students and the kids who play sports. If your child has a mental disability such as ADHD, they consider your kid to "not be college material" and tell you that they have other options for "those" kids.
